Old vines are used for the this vintage Blanc de Blancs, which comes from vines in the single parcel of Les Blancs Germains vineyards, planted in 1962. This is a warm, sunny site capable of high ripeness, and is usually harvested late. Fermented in tank but aged in barrel for a few months to give the wine additional richness of texture, opulent fruit and exotic citrus flavours. Nonetheless, it retains some bright acidity, providing the necessary balance, liveliness and freshness to the wine. 2,500 bottles per production, when these vintage babies can be made!
