Named after Secondé's two children, Claire and Xavier, this is 2/3 Chardonnay and 1/3 Pinot Noir. Fermented in vats before spending a few months in small new barrels. Aged on less for a minimum of 24 months before disgorgement. About 10% of reserve wine is usually added in the final blend. Lots of ripe white fruit, pears, elderflower blossoms and some good oak tones here balanced by fresh and lively acidity. 2,000 bottles per year.
